The bosses are out today so I spent a little extra time with the fam this morning and then stopped at Murky for a latte. Look at the perfectly roasted and lovingly prepared goodness of Murky.

I love this picture! What a beautiful blog.
This could be a dumb question, but did they make the cream look like a leaf on purpose? If so, do they actually do that with all their coffee, cause that seems like a waste of time....

Yes, the leaf is a nice little flourish from the baristas at Murky when they make lattes. They do different shapes depending on the drink you have. It only takes a few extra seconds to do and really sets a small, local place like Murky apart from national chains.
A waste of time! Ha! These pretty flourishes are one of the reasons I love Murky -- their attention to detail. That, and the coffee is just beyond anything I've had anywhere else (also a result, I believe, of their attention to detail). Plus I love it that real people work there, rather than automatons, and they play real music, rather than pre-fab, pre-approved, pre-marketed rubbish.
LONG LIVE MURKY!
Murky (and probably Misha's) are the best place for coffee in the whole region. Not only is the coffee top rate, but the baristas are serious about their job. Plus, the music in there rocks. I approve of the mural removal as well, that was ugly ass.
I am glad to read this post, its an interesting one. I am always searching for quality posts and articles and this is what I found here, I hope you will be adding more in future. Thanks
